Communication in Relationships can either make or break them.

You ever have a relationship that is strained? Of course you have, we all have. In western societies, mostly in America we tend to beat around the bush. We don’t usually tell people how we truly feel. Most of us just want to go along to get along. I had a professor in a therapy class while I was in my master’s program that was from the Czeck Republic. She told us exactly what this looks like and that people from those countries find it very hard to relate to Americans because of this nuance in our communication. Nobody really truly knows where others stand on topics because we don’t want the confrontation. I challenge folks to break this norm. If you have a relationship that you want to fix or even develop. Do yourself and the other person a favor and be honest. This will allow that relationship to grow real legs and a solid foundation on which to grow. Nobody is successful alone. Be true to you and the other people in your circle and be better for it.
